Week 6: Alpha


In week 6 we worked on the alpha of the game. We completed the first two levels, fixing bugs and updating textures, and uploaded the build to itch.io so that we could get feedback on it during the alpha presentation. From the feedback, we deleted the health bar and made the player walk and turn slower, and started working on better lighting effects to make the flashlight more realistic, with it being darker further away and having some reflections of light.

This week we also started working on the third level, which will have more puzzle elements as planned and also suggested from the feedback. We added a door that opens when the monster steps on a platform and a chest that opens when the player holds down e for a while.
